Do you need to buy an entire apartment to start investing in property? In a short video about Ghanem, Salman Al-Khuzaim introduces another approach: purchasing a share in an income-producing property from SAR 1,000 rather than funding the whole property yourself.
That lower entry amount deserves a closer look. On its own, it does not explain what you own, how income reaches you or when you can sell your share.
It means acquiring a share under the structure of a particular offering. Ghanem’s Arabic company overview describes access starting from SAR 1,000. The actual minimum, available opportunities and eligibility should be checked in the current offering details before purchasing.
For illustration only, if a property value of SAR 1 million were divided into proportional shares, SAR 1,000 would represent 0.1% before any fees or differences in the offering structure. This is arithmetic, not an available investment or a return forecast.
An ownership share does not automatically give you a specific room or a right to live in the property. The video refers to ownership documented in the Real Estate Registry. Your actual rights depend on the ownership document, offering agreement and recorded share.
It is also important to distinguish fractional ownership from usufruct. The former concerns ownership of a share in the asset; the latter concerns benefits for a defined period without owning the underlying property. Read the documents rather than relying on the product label.
The video highlights two potential sources: rent and an increase in property value. Rental income available for distribution depends on collections, expenses, fees and any required reserves, with distributions governed by the offering terms.
An increase in valuation is not yet a realised cash profit. The outcome depends on the eventual sale price and sale costs. Property values can fall and distributions can decline. A smaller starting amount does not remove investment risk.

Watch Salman Al-Khuzaim explain fractional property investment through Ghanem, published on 27 January 2026. We thank him for making the concept accessible to Arabic-speaking audiences. The video is identified as advertising in its description; it is referenced as the starting point for this article, not as an independent investment assessment.
Starting small can make fractional property ownership more accessible. The essential step is understanding what you are buying, how returns are calculated and the conditions governing your exit.
